Why is Email Marketing Important?

Email has been around for a while now, and is frequently used as a way of communication between businesses and customers or clients.  E-Marketing is one of the best ways to showcase your brand to your clients.  You can highlight services, products, achievements, and so much more.  E-Marketing, when done correctly, is a great way to reach your target audiences.

In a world of social media, email is often forgotten.  However, there are many benefits to E-Marketing.  Hubspot has outlined 12 in their blog article.  In this post, we are going to look at the top 5 benefits of Email Marketing.

1. Creating Personalized Content

One benefit to email marketing is that you can include personalization geared towards your audience.  This can be as simple as the contact's name at the beginning of the email.  The simplest things go a long way when trying to engage with your audience.  You can also segment your audience with email marketing in order to make sure that you are sending the right emails to the right person.

2. Collecting Feedback and Surveys

Email Marketing is also a great way to collect feedback and surveys.

Here are a few examples:

  • satisfaction surveys
  • product/ marketing surveys
  • event surveys
  • employee surveys
  • requests for comments/ feedback

Notice the 4th bullet point?  Employees can be a part of your email marketing just like clients.  When employees are engaged with email campaigns, they will have positive reflections on your brand.  This will also help your brand's image, for when employees are happy, customers can tell.

3. Improving Sales

E-Marketing can improve sales by featuring different products and services that your company offers.  This is a good way to get people to go to your website.  According to HubSpot, the majority of people say that marketing emails influence their purchase decisions.  The more exposure your audience has towards your company and your brand, the more likely that they will become a profitable customer.

4. Communicating with your audience

Like we have mentioned earlier, e-marketing is a great way to communicate with your customers.  you can differentiate yourself from other brands through E-marketing.  Communicating regularly with your audience is a great way to keep them engaged with your brand.  Regular communication, no matter what time of the year, has been proven to be effective when trying to improve marketing efforts.

5. Generating traffic to your site

E-Marketing allows you to generate traffic to your website.  When contacts open your email, they will be enticed to click on buttons, images, icons, etc. (CTAs or call to actions) that will direct them to your website.  This is a great way to generate traffic to your website and to generate leads.  For example, you could have an email campaign that is about subscribing to a webinar or a blog.  The CTA would lead the contact to a landing page where they can fill out a form and then be directed back to the website.  This is very valuable to marketers.

In conclusion, email marketing is a great way for marketers to reach their target audiences.  The value that it provides is incomparable to other platforms of marketing.  Email marketing allows you to track behaviors, communicate with your audience, boost sales, and so much more!
